Theory and Hazard Perception Test
We provide training and advice on all aspects of the Theory and Hazard Perception Tests.
All training materials can be provided.
Practical Training
The DSA Learner Driver Syllabus is covered in full.
Full mock tests given prior to DSA test being booked.
Full assessments are provided for students and training record cards issued.
1 or 2 hour lessons taken subject to student's ability.
Block booking discounts available.
Where appropriate Semi- Intensive training can be provided, subject to students ability.
Parents, with students consent, may contact school directly, to gain progress and relevant information up-dates.
Students will only be entered for test when they are safe and at an achievable standard, this is in line with the DSA Code of Conduct.
Pass Plus
Pass Plus is a course of lessons, (minimum 6 Hours), taken on a voluntary basis after passing the DSA Driving Test.
Pass Plus gives further experience in Driving Skills and a DSA Pass Plus Certificate will be issued and Insurance Discounts are given.
Modules Included in Pass Plus
Module 1 - Introduction
Your instructor will introduce the course and outline the disciplines and benefits of the course.
Module 2 - Town Driving
This is a practical session concentrating on observation, judgment and awareness eye contact, being cautious, but not unnecessarily hesitant, keeping space around the car, multi-lane junctions and unusual roundabouts, over - and underpasses, bus and cycle lanes.
Module 3 - All Weather Driving
This may be a theory session. The aim will be to discuss safe driving in extreme weather and road conditions.
Topics will include: seeing and being seen, using appropriate lights, safe speed and distances, anticipation, causes and how to correct skids.
Module 4 - Rural and Out - of Town Driving
This will be a practical session featuring driving on all types of rural roads endeavouring to include:- bends, hills and uneven road surfaces, safe overtaking. Observation and making progress safely, with emphasis on: Farm entrances, animals and slow moving vehicles, mud on road, sharp bends, use of horn/lights.
Module 5 - Night Driving
This will take place after lighting - up time. It will cover: the correct use of lights, seeing and being seen familiarization of reflective signs, markings, etc. judging speed and distance of self and others, adjusting to dusk and dawn (theory) being prepared for pedestrians and cyclists.
Module 6 - Dual Carriageway and Motoring Driving
Topics include:- effective observation and use of mirrors/blind spots joining, and leaving carriageways judgment and planning safe distances, overtaking and safe speeds in different circumstances, signs, signals and road markings.
N.B. These modules may not necessarily be taken in the above order, and some may overlap, depending on the previous experience of the candidate.
Advanced Driving
First a full assessment will be done to assess your driving on all types of road and then further sessions can be tailored to concentrate on the areas you need more experience with or feel less confident about.

Give you confidence to cope with driving in all conditions.
Improving your ability to read the road and react to hazards in a planned and systematic way so you can enjoy smooth progress, good concentration and above all increased safety for all, plus the benefits of echo friendly driving.
Test available IAM car, IAM commercial, DIA Diamond advanced test, DIA Diamond Special test and RAC test.
We offer the individual or company high quality training in advanced driving and Fleet Training.
Refresher Courses
This course is designed if you hold a full licence but feel out of practice, in today's increasingly busy roads, or just feel you would like to improve your driving to a higher standard.
Each course is tailored to suit your own individual needs, whether it's one lesson or a complete course.
A certificate of training can be issued at the end of the course. |
